Basic welding procedure that one should know
- Take the parts that to be weld
- clean the surface that to be weld
- Make sure if the job thickness is more than 4mm, then make "V" cutting at the face that will be weld.
- According to the property of material if preheat is required then preheat the job.
- set the power input according to the thickness of electrode.
- Welding electrode must be selected according to the job.
- Welding electrode thickness is also depends on the thickness of the job.
- Remove slag from weld bid and cool it in normal temperature.
